We were walking along, savoring the brief stretch of shaded path, and saw this lovely cello. We stopped to lounge against the wall not far from it, to drink water, people watch, stay out of the sizzling sun for a few minutes. It wasn't too long before a boy came along to play the cello, adding a nice atmosphere to the area.
He played really well. By the end of his first song, he had quite a few dollars collected. :)

I'm glad you stopped (but should 10 year olds be traing as buskers?). The beautiful wood of the cello on the white wall is so warm. It reminds me of my long-unused childhood violin. I last got it out for a rather obscure theme day post last Dec. 1, http://saintlouismodailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/12/cdpb-monthly-theme-day-bridges.html
10 year olds like fast money as much as anyone? :o
I love the photo of your violin (and your creative interpretation of bridges). I have one too! I don't still have my childhood one, but I've determined to play again, so I have an inexpensive one to see how it goes.
OK we really have to go to the Paseo area now. I don't know why we haven't ever heard of it before!
It is a nice post. I liked very much the street musician.
